La Esperanza Farm, owned by Hertson Bernal and his brother Isus since 2006, is located in Guadalupe, Huila, Colombia, at 1,800 meters above sea level. The farm spans 4.25 hectares and cultivates high-quality Arabica varieties including Caturra, Castillo, Colombia, and Cenicafé, as well as experimental types like Pink Bourbon and Tabi. The Bernal brothers revitalized the farm from an abandoned property into a thriving coffee operation, reflecting their deep commitment to quality and innovation.

The farm employs advanced processing techniques such as extended anaerobic fermentation and the “sleeping bag” drying method to enhance flavor complexity and beans are harvested manually with selective picking, ensure that each batch reflects both the farm’s terroir and the Bernal family’s dedication to excellence.

Sustainability and community engagement are central to La Esperanza Farm. The Bernals have built modern processing facilities and worker housing, while also supporting neighboring farmers by sharing knowledge and resources.
